■How to Select a Damper Hinge
When selecting, you will need to calculate the maximum torque based on the size and weight of the lid you are installing.
The lid in a horizontal position generates maximum torque as shown below.
Calculate maximum torque according to the following formula before selecting a damper that satisfies the specifications.
* It is assumed that the center of gravity is in the center.
[Formula]
Max. torque T = L (door dimension: m) / 2 × m (weight kg) × 9.8 (Newton N)
Example: When L = 0.2 m and m = 10 kg
Max. torque T = 0.2/2 × 10 × 9.8 = 9.8 N⋅m
