■ Cautions
  • No. 3 specification requires less clearance than conventional aluminum extrusion hinges when mounting the 5-25 Series to extrusions.
  • Use two hinges for one door/lid.
  • Horizontally align the axes of each hinge.
  • Torque is generated when inserting the main body into the shaft and the holder into the hexagonal part of the shaft. To remove it, use a tool, etc., to push it out.
  • Do not use the hinges outdoors or in any places where oil or grease adheres to the hinges.
  • Do not use the hinges in any places requiring continuous open-close movements.

■Torque hinge selection
When selecting, you will need to calculate the maximum torque based on the size and weight of the lid you are installing.
The lid in a horizontal position generates maximum torque as shown below.
Calculate maximum torque according to the following formula before selecting a damper that satisfies the specifications.
* It is assumed that the center of gravity is in the center.


[Formula]
Max. torque T = L (door dimension: m) / 2 × m (weight kg) × 9.8 (Newton N)

Example: When L = 0.2 m and m = 2 kg
Max. torque T = 0.2/2 × 2 × 9.8 = 1.96 N⋅m

 If you forcefully insert it in the wrong direction, it may cause damage.
